United Reaches Tentative Agreement with AFA for United Flight Attendants
We reached a tentative agreement on Saturday with the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) on a labor contract for United flight attendants.
The tentative agreement is subject to approval by the AFA’s Master Executive Council. Following approval, the agreement would then be subject to ratification by United flight attendants. The agreement is the result of an expedited mediation process that began last October.
“This agreement follows an intense mediation process, and we appreciate the hard work of both negotiating teams in reaching an agreement that is fair to the company and fair to our co-workers,” said Inflight Services SVP Sam Risoli.
Continental flight attendants, represented by the AFA, ratified their collective bargaining agreement in February of 2011.
