Mechanics at both the United and Continental subsidiary are represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT).
The company filed for joint mediation on June 7, 2011.

Implementation of the ratified IBT agreement is well under way, with many components - including pay increases - taking effect on Jan 1, 2012. Given the breadth of changes in this new agreement, the Company and Union are working closely with one another to ensure appropriate timing and order of implementing changes. We will provide an update when dates are established for the commencement of collective bargaining for a joint collective agreement.
