United Holds Annual Meeting

Earlier this week, United held our Annual Meeting of Shareholders at our Operations Center in Elk Grove. The main purpose of the meeting was to elect the Directors of the Corporation. The meeting was also an opportunity for our shareholders to learn about the progress of the company over the last year and to ask questions of United’s leaders.
At this year’s meeting, United’s Chief Executive Officer, Glenn Tilton; Chief Financial Officer, Kathy Mikells; and Chief Operating Officer, John Tague presented an overview of our business. The three discussed the challenges we and others currently face in the airline industry and the important steps United is taking for the long-term stability of the company - including our capacity reductions and our focus on the basics of customer service and reliability.
In addition, Glenn discussed important issues that are coming up in the next year including our application for antitrust immunity with Continental, and the importance it has for our employees and our company.
If you would like more information about this year’s meeting, I would encourage you to read the meeting remarks.
Sincerely,
Doug McKeen
