United Airlines Negotiations : Unions : IFPTE

• The International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE) represents approximately 260 United engineers and related employees.
• The current IFPTE collective bargaining agreement becomes amendable on December 31, 2009. Current contract terms remain in effect throughout negotiations.
• Negotiations with the IFPTE began on April 15, approximately nine months before the current CBA becomes amendable.

The Company and IFPTE negotiating committees met Sept 23 and 24 at the Union headquarters in San Francisco. The parties further discussed the Discipline and Complaint Resolution article and the Union made a first proposal on Discipline. The parties extensively reviewed this proposal and will continue discussions October 14 in SFO.
