On January 28, United and PAFCA jointly requested the assistance of the National Mediation Board. The NMB has assigned Mediator Victoria Gray to assist the parties in these negotiations. Ms. Gray joined the NMB staff in 2009. Prior to joining the NMB, Ms. Gray had over 40 years of experience in labor relations. Ms. Gray’s bio can be found on the NMB's web site at http://www.nmb.gov/directory/gray-victoria_bio.html.

The first mediated discussions between the parties are scheduled for April 27 through 29 in Chicago. Another round of talks are scheduled with Mediator Gray’s assistance May 25-27 in the National Mediation Board’s offices in Washington, D.C. The parties are also considering whether additional sessions without the Mediator would be productive.
