United Storekeepers employees are represented by the International Association of Machinists (IAM). The employees ratified a new collective bargaining agreement in March 2016 and will extend through December 31, 2021 with the ability to begin negotiations 18 Months prior.

  • United, IAM make progress in negotiations

    United Airlines and the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers (IAM) continued expedited negotiations in Houston during the week of February 15. The parties continue to make good progress through meaningful dialogue and have reached consensus on solutions to many issues previously identified.

  • UA and IAM continue productive discussions

    United Airlines and the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers (IAM) resumed limited issue, expedited negotiations in New York City the week of January 18th for an extension to the current UA/IAM Agreements. Discussions continued to be productive, and are scheduled to resume February 1, 2016.

  • United and IAM Agree to Open Contract Negotiations Early, Further Expand Job Protection for Employees

    United Airlines and the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers (IAM) today agreed to commence contract negotiations more than one year ahead of the scheduled amendable date of their agreements. As part of this agreement, United has extended through January 15, 2019, its commitment not to contract out work currently performed by the IAM-represented group at all hub and station airport locations.
